My School SMK La Salle PJ

It is one of the first Christian Missionary schools in Selangor. It was established in 1959.The immediate aim in building this new school was to ease the pressure for places like Saint John's Institution, which was rapidly expanding at the time as well as cater for the needs of the growing township. Its enrollment, however, consists of students of all races regardless of their religions. It was founded by Brother Lawrence Spitzig.

It is divided into primary school and secondary school. Both primary and secondary schools are known today respectively as Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan La Salle Petaling Jaya and Sekolah Menengah La Salle Petaling Jaya The secondary school is now under Principal Chong Ah Loi.

The schools are built right next to each other and are also connected. The Secondary school has recently been renovated a few years back and now have a new block exclusively for the form 6 students.Besides that,a surau for the Islam students to pray has also been added.Recently,a resting spot has been built the students to rest and study. It was named after Brother Felix, one of the founding fathers of La Salle PJ.

I am currently a form 2 student of this school.I find this school a nice school, the beautiful scenery and the fresh air coming from the Gasing hills surrounding is very relaxing. It is also a nice experience to study in a school with a lot of interesting history.I take part in many extra-curricular activities at this school. Most of it is done in the school's large field or the outskirts of the school in the Gasing Hills. The school also has a basketball court, handball court and also a badminton court in the school's hall. This makes it easier for students to play the sport of their liking in the school.
In conclusion, this school is a good school with a lot of rich history.I am proud to call myself a La Sallian.Sapiantai Et Caritas (Wisdom and Love)
